20th July 2016 Tournus signed the acquisition of the British company CATERING EQUIPMENT DESIGN (CED). Tournus Expansion, holding for Tournus
Equipement, purchased 100% of CED shares.  The 4 English managers have reinvested in TOURNUS EXPANSION.

CED based in the uk will sell Tournus products that are not currently proposed in CED catalogues and will increase their share of the european markets to second place for professional kitchens.
The result of this union will be a larger range of products, notably distribution units thanks to the complementary CED products.
CED will also help technically with the development of a new range of « selfs » whihc will be complimentary to the existing Tournus range, more economical and will function with the R290-R600 refrigeration gases, offering better solutions for the future.
